Deployed Twitcaps 0.88b (RSS, Metacaps,Flickr)
Twitcaps 0.88b Change Log
Big update!
- Implemented RSS Feeds for the latest 40 pictures and the most popular 40 pictures (Thanks, Alex!)
- twitcaps.com/feed = Latest feed
- twitcaps.com/popular/feed = Most popular
- twitcaps.com/feed/yourusername = Latest with your user filters applied
- twitcaps.com/popular/feed/yourusername = Popular with your user filters applied
- Implemented MetaCaps functionality - Sometimes there is beauty not just in the individual images, but in the collage as a whole. MetaCaps is a way to capture all of the images you are currently viewing on Twitcaps. It is, essentially, a screenshot. If you are logged in, all of your MetaCaps will be saved to your account. If you are anonymous, all MetaCaps are viewable at http://twitpics.com/photos/metacaps.
- Added support for Flickr links posted to Twitter (individual images only, not photosets)
- Added support for img.ly links posted to Twitter
- Fixed a bug wherein new images that appeared via Auto Refresh would not display the Detail View correctly
- Fixed various server-side error handling bugs
- Removed the “Who’s Online” view from the site
- Increased the size of the Twitter search for the Data Slurper - as more pictures are posted, this number will need to scale to ensure all images are captured
- Added icons for the toolbar items
- Added the hooks for the soon to be exposed Rest API
I’m going to need to start working on a user manual very soon. The next update should be a little smaller. Coming up:
- Support for Tweetphoto / pic.gd links
- A new method for slurping / searching that should return more results per Photo Provider
